Founded in 2016, the company currently has more than 25 employees (plus 15 freelancers) and operates mainly in the DACH region. dataspot. started out as a data governance consultancy before developing its own data cataloging software for metadata management. Today, it provides a data governance solution and metadata management software, data excellence consulting and education services.

Today, Alation collaborates with more than 20 implementation partners, more than 40 strategic technology/ecosystem partners and 80+ channel partners. Growth is set to be accelerated through expansion into additional geographies and new product offerings (e.g., the Data Governance App).

Amazon’s Availability Zones are located around the world. Amazon currently serves 87 Availability Zones (logical network of data centers) in 27 regions.

    During their experience gained from working on implementation projects, the founders of AnalyticsCreator recognized a market need and the possibility to develop a framework to automate data warehouse creation and loading. They built a code framework in 2008, which they began to use in customer projects. However, the company AnalyticsCreator was not founded until 2017, by which point the framework had been rebuilt into a UI-based product and the vendor was able to promote it commercially.

    Founded in 2008 as a spin-off of Vrije University Brussels, Collibra’s headquarters are today in Brussels and New York City. It is one of the big players in the data governance market. With around 1,100 employees, Collibra has good geographical coverage with 12 offices worldwide and operations in 25 countries. Its 560+ customers come from a wide variety of industries and the software is used in multiple verticals such as financial services, retail, healthcare, manufacturing and others. Collibra’s partner program includes implementation, technology, cloud and channel partners (currently 240 partners). The vendor also provides educational services (Collibra University, training and certification program) and coaching. In the future, Collibra intends to enhance its partner program and tools for partners, as well as provide more training content via Collibra University with the purpose of educating customers in data intelligence.

Having identified the need for a solution that optimizes data warehouse creation and maintenance, development on the Datavault Builder product began back in 2012. In 2016, a graphical user interface was added and the company started to promote the product in earnest. In all, five dedicated developers look after the development of Datavault Builder with support from its partner Ventum Consulting, which employs 130 people. Additional partners implement the software on the customer side.
