Suadeo
Suadeo is a French software vendor that launched its business back in 2004. The vendor employs about 100 people and serves more than 150 customers.
The company’s initial aim was to provide business users with self-service data and analytics capabilities while keeping their data secure and properly governed. To achieve this, the Suadeo Self Data Services Platform (SDS) – composed of several data management and data visualization components – was developed.
In some respects, SDS surpasses other typical BI and analytics front ends. For example, it offers over 300 connectors and ETL functions to access and transform data, as well as some interesting user management and data catalog features.
On the data visualization side, the product is equipped with dashboard and formatted reporting functions suitable for creating interactive applications and standard reports to provide BI content to large numbers of end users.
The vendor also takes data security very seriously. User rights and management features are strong, and both on-premises and cloud-based deployments are compliant with various standards such as the French Social Security Administration’s digital decree. As a result, Suadeo is not only used by insurance companies but also several government departments in France.
